 WHO CAN SHOOT?

We welcome all shooters from Beginner to Expert! The object for HPDS is to learn from each other. Although we do not require you to be a member of IDPA, we do strongly encourage all of our members to support the IDPA and become members. You must be 21 years of age or older unless monitored strictly by a parent or legal guardian. As a member of HPDS you are not obligated to attend or participate in every event. The point is to be fun and laid back, so attend when you can. The annual membership fee for HPDS is $40.00 per person. With the membership you will receive a HPDS club shirt and membership card. While HPDS is a non-profit organization we do require the membership fee to fund the supplies and help cater to family events.

If you live in the Portage, Pardeeville, Baraboo, Sauk/Prairie, Lodi, Richland Center, or surrounding areas and are interested in becoming a member please contact us!

For our 2nd year in a row, HPDS will be working with Portage Rod & Gun Club. There we will hold our meetings and shooting events.

HPDS MISSION

The mission of HPDS is to create a safe and fun environment within the community to participate in one of America’s oldest sports. Our goal is to educate “We the People” in real-world scenarios by implementing defensive training tactics and marksmanship techniques for the purpose of defending ourselves and our families while exercising our Constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

“The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. A well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the best and most natural defense of a free country . . .”

-- James Madison, I Annals of Congress 434, 8 June 1789

HELPING WARRIORS

HPDS is funded 100% by the local sponsorships that we received during the club kick-off in 2011. Because of this we are able to raise and donate money to a few organizations to help the protectors of our Country.

During the 2011 shooting season, HPDS helped raise over $4500 for Wounded Warrior Project. This money was donated directly to the Organization to assist in the treatment and rehabilitation of our wounded Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines.

We also helped raise over $2000 to purchase Christmas presents for local soldiers families who without our help, would have had nothing to open on Christmas Morning.

Our 2012 Goal is to raise 10k dollars! We can't do it without our Sponsors and Local Donations. We have many sponsorship options to choose from this year as well as a link below to make a one time donation to WWP. Please Help us out anyway that you can!
